From a defining UNIPORT defense to a global consultancy
Trendicomz Consults International was founded in 2019 by Ukandu Chidiebere Promise out of a deep personal passion for academic excellence and a desire to solve the actual challenges faced by students in research and data analysis.
The seed was planted back in 2016 during Promise's undergraduate project defense at the University of Port Harcourt. Having been mentored in 2013 by Dr. Okey in data analysis using SPSS, Promise delivered an exceptional statistical defense. The external examiner, Prof. Achalu E. I., praised the work and immediately invited Promise to serve as his secretary.
In that role, Promise guided students, proofread undergraduate projects, and assisted Prof. Achalu in publishing 10 research articles and two major textbooks. This intensive experience sharpened Promise's research expertise and instilled a profound appreciation for methodical rigor.
Following NYSC in 2018, Promise returned to his department hoping to be employed as a graduate assistant—a customary path for first-class graduates under NUC guidelines. When local biases blocked this opportunity, Promise stood at a crossroads. Equipped only with a laptop, a deep expertise in research data analysis, and a bold vision, he launched Trendicomz Consults in 2019.
The practice completed 15 undergraduate and 2 MSc projects in its first year. When the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown hit, the explosive demand for remote academic services catalyzed a global referral chain, expanding the practice across Nigeria, the UK, Canada, Australia, and the USA. Today, Trendicomz is fully registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC: RC 9303944).

- Recruit and train 3 new team members in SPSS, Excel, and Statement of Purpose (SOP) writing by October 2025.
Mid-Term Goals
- Increase the annual active client base from 300 to over 500 by the end of 2027, focusing on referrals and digital educational campaigns.
- Grow total annual revenue by 60% by Q4 2027 through online subscriptions, expanded project handling, and academic partnerships.
- Establish at least 3 formal academic partnerships with Nigerian universities by mid-2027 to support journal editing and textbook production.
Long-Term Goals
- Become one of the top 5 recognized academic research consultancy brands in Nigeria by 2029.
- Train over 1,000 students, faculty, and professionals in scientific writing and data analytics by 2030 via courses, webinars, and workshops.
- Expand the workforce to at least 15 full-time writers, editors, data scientists, and support staff by 2029.
